The Little Light Shines Bright

The Little Light Shines Bright Book

The Little Light Shines Bright celebrates the world's longest burning lightbulb at a fire station in Livermore, California. The hand blown lightbulb has been burning since 1901 and is declared the oldest working lightbulb by the Guinness Book of World Records.

The little light's journey started more than 100 years ago before the start of planes, automobiles, and radio.

Tourists from around the world have visited the little light ... a light that has provided comfort to firefighters all these years and shows no signs of turning off?

Author and Emmy award winning television news anchor Juliette Goodrich was inspired to write this book about the Centennial Light after she emceed the light's 100th birthday celebration in 2001.

Goodrich has three children of her own and says a portion of the books proceeds will go to local schools to fund reading and writing programs and to the Alisa Ann Rush Burn Foundation dedicated to burn survivors and burn prevention.
