North Wales, Pa. Just wanted to say what an incredible thing. As the Battalion Chief at the North Penn Fire Company, I just wanted to say Congratulations on an amazing light bulb. Let alone having it in a fire house. And by the way, love the cam.

St Charles County yo, retired/disabled paid firefighter from St. Louis County, Missouri. just watching Myth Busters and saw the story about the bulb. what is cool to me is to think of all the things that have gone on while that bulb has been burning. for example man landing on moon, assasination of JFK, end of the "cold war", the tearing down of the Berlin Wall etc. just amazing that a bulb has burned that long.

Farrell, Pa Simply Amazing! To Think About How Many Times That Bulb Has Welcomed The Crews Back Home After All These Years. Hope It Continues To Burn For A Very Long Time. Hell At My Firehouse We Are Lucky If A Bulb Lasts A Week LOL.

Mountain Home, AR I have a picture of myself and this lightbulb taken many years ago. It also appeared in the National Inquirer about that same time. It was 100 years old then!!! LAFD Retired 1979

Read your story in a lesson book I am teaching out of. I am a substitute teacher for the Mustang Middle School in Mustang Oklahoma. I am also on the Mustang Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and have been for seven years. This story just fasanated me and the students I am teaching. I told them I would check into the story to see if the light still burned today. And low and behold it still burns. They will be so happy to see that it does.

You may contact us at 1618 E. Lily Lane Mustang OK 73064. If you have any thing you would like the kids to know about your Fire Department and special light

Sacramento, CA We had an old night light in the poll hole at my fire department. In the mid nineties, or so, I remember this light bulb came up in one of our bull sessions out on the apparatus floor. This evening my daughter was complaining how she had to always change bulbs in her house. And sure enough, here it is, the bulb has its own web site for Christ’s sake. Interesting to think how this 1901 state of the art technology is now being monitored 24/7 by its descendant technology one hundred years later. You can bet no PC will ever share any legacy equal to this humble light bulb.
