history. If you have tried to see this site the week of May 9, 2008 we were so overwhelmed by all of your responses worldwide, that the server crashed. We now have a new server, and we are in the process of bringing the site fully back to life. Thanks for your patience and all of your wonderful interest in our unique long-lived bulb!
Thanks to the efforts of Don Peters, of the LPFD, we had a New Sony Bulbcam in 2007! As of June of 2008 the webcam is broadcasting it's picture to the world again.
The 4 most recent pictures, shown above, were taken on May 19, 2008. It's still glowing strong.
The third edition of Ripleys Believe it or Not, is on the bookshelves,
and our little light is making a guest appearance! Also Guinness World
Records 2007 has included the bulb as the Longest-Burning Light Bulb!
For those of you who watch the Discovery channel you might have caught
the episode 69 of MythBusters. No, they were not questioning the Bulb,
but were showing it in reference to the longevity of other bulbs. To see a
